Surf Simply’s satellite coaching courses give level 3 and 4 surfers the chance to receive the Surf Simply experience and unique coaching methodology, at different locations around the world. In the past we’ve run courses in France, New York and Indonesia and in 2016 we will be adding Peru to the schedule.
The Peru dates are not yet confirmed however we are pleased to announce that we are now taking bookings for the France course for 2015. We will be running two, week long courses which will take place from Sep 19th – 26th and Sep 26th -Oct 3rd. The price will be $3450 per person. Based on previous years, the course will book up within a few days, so please drop us a line sooner rather than later if you like to reserve a place. You’ll stay at Surf Simply’s Hossegor house which is located on the beautiful lake, close to the centre of this lively little surf town. As with our coaching courses in Costa Rica, this is an all inclusive week so that you can focus solely on surfing and relaxing. As always we will have our in-house chef taking advantage of the fabulous local food although we will be visiting some of the local restaurants too (it is France after all so it would be a crime not to).
The coaches joining you this year in France will be myself, Oli along with Harry and Prado. We chose Hossegor again this year not only because of it’s consistent autumn swell, beautiful beaches and forests but also because the variety of different sand banks gives us the opportunity to surf a lot of different types of waves. So we’ll be exploring up and down the coast during your stay.
You’ll need to be a level 3 or 4 surfer and have stayed with us here in Costa Rica before. This is because the coaching will be solely video based and therefore surfers must be able to paddle out and catch waves unassisted.

The town also has a great buzz to it in September, with the France stop of the WSL World Title Race contest taking place immediately after we finish our coaching weeks. You will often see pro-surfers both in town and in the water surfing alongside you. Several of our guests last year choose to stay on after their week of coaching with us, to enjoy watching the worlds best surfers compete in the beautiful French beach breaks, not to mention the excitement and events surrounding the contest in the town itself.
